Stanford Wine Route is open

This September the wineries in the Stanford region had the privilege of launching their very own, viagra now publically recognized, sales Stanford Wine Route. The 8 farms that form the Stanford Wine Route are Boschrivier, Misty Mountains Estate, Raka Wines, Sir Robert Stanford Estate, Springfontein, Stanford Hills, Walker Bay Vineyards and Vaalvlei. They pulled out all the stops to showcase what they had to offer in a 3-day long media launch. With the financial assistance provided by the Overstrand Municipality, for which the Wine Route members are deeply grateful, the launch was a roaring success.

The Stanford wineries have long been overlooked and not given enough credit where it is due. We have an exceptional terroir and in turn produce world class wines that  hold up against the most acclaimed contenders. There is an array of quality cultivars produced, and distinguished brands marketed.

We are the smallest of the wine routes, but that just adds to our charm. One can actually visit all the farms over a weekend and will be sure to receive a memorable and personable experience. These farms, however, offer so much more than wine. From mountain biking and running trails, to grappa and beer; from culinary delights in country restaurants to walking a labyrinth; from fynbos to frogs, we have it all!

The public certainly have not been forgotten, and will be able to taste all the wines and chat with the respective wine route members on the 27 November at the Stanford Sunset Market. The following day visitors and locals will have the opportunity to interact with the members again, at the Stanford Stumble, a charity event held at Stanford Hills Estate.

If you are unable to attend the Sunset Market on Friday, 27 November starting at 18h00, then do meander on around to the farms where you will be welcomed with open arms and guaranteed hours of wine, song, and merriment.
