    Sara Abbott

I have loved painting and in particular, drawing, since I was very young while being brought up on a farm together with my sister, in Kenya. Loved the outdoors, riding, fishing, taking photographs and being surrounded by animals. That is probably why I find them as a subject for my art more fun than still life!

She is especially drawn to the horizontal waterscapes of Churchhaven on the Cape West Coast’s Langebaan lagoon, the solitary expanses of the arid Karoo and the deserted beaches of the Eastern Cape’s Wild Coast.
