Amble Side is situated on the Wandelpad next to the historic Mill Stream. It is a quiet, peaceful part of town yet close to restaurants, shops and the river.

Ambleside Cottage is the perfect country getaway for people who want to relax in beautiful Stanford. The patio overlooking the garden also has a spectacular view of the Kleinriver mountains. The beautiful garden is a perfect spot to view indigenous Cape birds. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, fridge-freezer combo and induction plate.  The lounge area has a sleeper couch making Ambleside Cottage ideal for families with children. The spacious bedroom has a queen-sized bed and couch. Cotton towels and linen are provided. You can relax on the couch and enjoy a view over the garden. The bathroom has a shower, bath, toilet and twin basins. Settle in for a leisurely breakfast that includes Elsa’s homemade rusks. Grab a book and sit back with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

The unit has its own private entrance and veranda with safe parking. A beautiful large enclosed garden can host dogs by prior arrangement.

We live on the property so are available for any needs or assistance to guests.

Minimum stay of 1 night during the week Monday – Thursday
Minimum stay of 2 nights on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Minimum stay of 3 nights in Peak Season (15 December – 7 January)

 Pet friendly. Can sleep 3 adults or 2 children on a sleeper couch @ R150 per night extra.

My wife and I stayed overnight last week and found this to be a delightful, peaceful retreat in a quite area. The accommodation is spacious and very clean. It has a lovely garden. We would happily go back.
