Misty Mountains Estate is a 43ha farm situated on the R43 between Hermanus and Stanford. Rarely does one find unique accommodation quiet like this. A wine farm offering four newly renovated cottages, majestically situated on top of a hill. These self-catering units, have one of the best views this area has to offer of the Hermanus lagoon.
Everything has been thought of and done to perfection. Two of the units sleep two and the others four. All bedrooms are en-suite, with beautifully finished, spacious showers, soft white towels and dreamy, comfy beds. Fully equipped kitchens, as well as outside braai facilities. There are also inside fireplaces in all of the units. Lie in bed read a book, enjoy a glass of wine and watch the embers while soaking up the ambiance, which says, relax, and enjoy! If sitting on the hill gazing at the lagoon gets all too much for you, take a slow wonder down the dirt road to the cellar and taste their award winning Sauvignon Blanc, Rose or Shiraz. If wine is not your thing, have no fear. Misty Mountains is now also distilling and brewing their very own Gin and Craft Beer.
Should you wish to roam further afield, Stanford is mere minutes’ drive to your left and Hermanus to your right. Both have fantastic restaurants, farmers markets and sea cliff walks for Whale watching when season. This estate is also one of many working wine farms in the area, so a lovely day can be planned exploring the valleys and tasting the wines on offer. If nature is what you are looking for, turn your back on the lagoon and hike into the awaiting mountains against which Misty Mountains Estate rests.
