This unique 19th-century heritage house has been exquisitely restored. This magnificent self-catering house has been designed to easily accommodate up to 12 people. The house can be split into 3 separate living areas; the Tuinhuis: lounge, study, fully equipped kitchen/dining room that can accommodate up to 24 people, two ensuite bedrooms and study. The Barn: with a lounge and kitchenette with two ensuite bedrooms. The Stables: with a lounge and kitchenette, a loft bedroom and bathroom.
The property is surrounded by a veritable garden of Eden, recently relandscaped with the local fauna and fynbos kept in mind. This large and sprawling indigenous garden, gives life to the song of birds, with three patio areas, and a newly installed braai area that seats up to 24 people. The property has free WIFI access, full security & secure off-street parking for 5 cars
The house is based in the centre of the small historic village of Stanford. Within easy walking distance to the main square, Stanford offers a bustle of activities; for the outdoor enthusiasts, mountain biking (on and off road), canoeing, kayaking and a number of hiking trails. For the nature lovers and birders, it’s simply paradise – enjoy a sundown cruise on the Stanford River, or meander along the Wandelpad, and spot a lifer. For the foodies and art-lovers, you’ll be spoilt for choice with a range of cuisines and contemporary flavours, as well as a selection of antique and collectable stores.
