Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and we are dedicating the whole of February to love! If you haven’t made plans for tomorrow, viagra 40mg why not book a spur-of-the moment romantic getaway to Stanford? Who knows, look maybe even pop the question?

Stanford is one of the most romantic places I’ve been to. We have restaurantsoffering delectable menus and wine tastings in spectacular settings; we have beautiful drives along the wild and majestic Cape Whale Coast where each night you have front row seats to stunning sunsets; and of course we have the romantic river walk right on our doorstep with the Klein River Mountains as a backdrop.

It is for this reason that many couples choose Stanford for their wedding. Nestled among great oak trees, or overlooking peaceful valleys are some of the most unique and intimate venues that cater to every need if you are looking to tie the knot. It’s no surprise that most couples choose to make their wedding a whole weekend-long celebration with their family and loved ones.

On that note, perhaps I should tell you a little bit more about the birds and the bees… The Walker Bay Bird Fair is happening 25 February – 1 March! This event is going to be one of the highlights of the Stanford Events Calendar, and we are very excited about it. The first two days of the fair are dedicated to outings to top birding spots in the area. Join us on the Village Green on 27 and 28 February for talks, photographic workshops, bird identification course, photographic and optic demonstrations, and much more. Enter Zeiss Walker Bay Bird Fair Photographic competition. Entries close on 15 February 2015 so make sure you enter today. Conditions of entry can be found here: www.stanfordbirdclub.co.za

Well-known organist, Martin Mans, will be giving an organ recital on Wednesday, 18 February at the Dutch Reformed Church, accompanied by Carina Bossenbroek on panflute. And lastly, if you did happen to miss Valentine’s Day, not to worry. On Saturday, 7 March at the Stanford Harvest will host a romantic candlelit dinner with local Jazz duo Janet and Andrew.

That’s all for now, folks. And remember, if anyone asks where you got your news, tell them you heard it through the Grapevine!
