EAT IN STANFORD
Stanford’s many restaurants cater for every taste palate. A quick and easy croissant and morning coffee, through to a la carte dining – Stanford has something for everyone. We pride ourselves on our hospitality and there’s always a choice of one of our 9 local award-winning, cold-climate, limestone terroir Wine Route Estate vintages to match your meal. Dine in the vineyards, in a restaurant vegetable garden along the Klein River where there’s an embrace of the slow food movement or in the beautiful setting of our undulating and mountainous countryside vineyards. Not to be forgotten is a mingle at the various weekend markets, a great showcase of local, seasonal, artisanal products and preserves, especially our monthly Stanford Sunset Market, a downright lekker local bash where good food, drinks, produce, gifts, ideas and local tunes are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, as they hang out and watch the sun set on another beautiful country living day.

With the Overstrand having been awarded the first African City of Gastronomy by UNESCO during the latter half of 2019, our region has been recognised by the Africa Responsible Tourism Awards for its efforts made towards the conservation of biodiversity, strengthening food related cooperation and nurturing knowledge exchange for sustainability.
